Hi Helen, I just saw this post.  Try and make this your outlet if you have none. You sound like an incredibly unselfish, remarkable lady to take on such responsibilities.  Those children will grow up to admire you so much more than they may right now.  And those kids’ parents are going to get hit with a truckload of guilt when they realize how selfless you’ve been.  But see what your medical insurance or state funded social work outlets offer in the way of professional help.  There’s nothing to be ashamed of.  I mean really, you’re a saint from what I’ve read.  And you get on your webTV and chime into ASD anytime you want.

Helen, Have you been to a doctor? Have you considered possibly going to a doctor? There is medicine out there that is wonderful and works but you have to find the one right for you. Do you do anything for fun or for yourself? Maybe you can start small and do at least one nice thing for yourself each day. Even if it is to read a paper or watch a tv show, it is for you. Are you getting any type of help with the children? Head Start or daycare? You need a break, once in a while at least. You are a very loving grandmother to raise her grandchildren. You are overloaded which is why you have trouble remembering things. Try to call around, maybe your county or city and see if there is any help available to you. Or maybe a neighbor  with children around the same age would like the alternate and have a free day. There are also smaller support groups at YahooGroups. com for depression, anxiety etc. There are other groups for hobbies etc. You may also want to try there. The groups are usually smaller and once you join a list, only the members can read your posts so there is some privacy that way too. Take care.   — Love and hugs, Linda

  Hi my name is Helen and i’am very depressed, i cant concentrate, have   weird thought’s all the time…once my life had purose now it’s   empty..my kid’s are all grown and i’am divorced  also i’am rasing 4 very   your gand kid’s..the parent’s do nothing to help..no involment in the   kid’s life what so ever…i feel trapped..i for get thing’s very   easy….i feel like y mind is over laded and about to explode if i dont   talk to some one very soon…..i dont go any where except to bed, bathe,   cook and clean…and eat all night…i once was a beautiful   direction……oh i’am 56 yrs. old..have a blessed night….Helen   thank you Maryln   Light A Candle   In Memory…   "NO REPLY ALL"   <
