I’d like to know what you guys do to get yourselves through a crash, or to even stop one when you feel it coming. Here are some of mine: Reading Talking to someone ASD Crying (always makes me feel a *little* better) Sleeping Hot tea Bubble bath (winter) or shower (summer) What are some positive things that help you? Stacey
Accepting that a crash is a signal from my body that I need rest. Not dumping extra emotions on top of the depressive feelings, doubling up the effect. (It really isn’t necessary to become emotionally depressed about being physically depressed), or panicked about being in a panic attack, etc.) I don’t rely on melodrama to explain why my body is doing this. Outside sources can trigger episodes, but they are not the cause of the depression, and they don’t deserve the blame. There is nothing to blame. The depression just is. Accepting that it is an illness, and that I can deal with it. If it gets very bad, I deal with it with the help of others, but never do I expect someone else to take care of it. Never thinking that the depression makes me less of a person. That’s most of it. Sandra – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text –
