Question:

of course there is hope. looking at the meds you are on, have they tried switching you to something other than the  [s]oloft just wondering ’cause 200 mg seems like a high dose. Home Page – http://members.aol.com/niknik7/main.html

Response:

welcome to ASD. Yes, there is hope, there is hope for everyone even though we feel ther isn’t sometimes!!! I also have recurrent major depression, although there is no biological component involved. That is all the help i can offer right now, but don’t ever give up!!! – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – I have been depressed for over half my life. It seems to run in my family – both my mother and brother were Schizophrenics ( my ‘bro killed himself) and in some ways I feel lucky to "only" have recurrent Major Depression. I was almost hospitalized last night and am on 200mg Zoloft, 50mg Trazadone at HS for sleep aid, and recently .5 mg Alprazolam BID for anxiety. I have tried so hard to "get over" my depression and have finally admitted to myself the biological component. I also have SAD component to my illness. This is my first post to this newsgroup… Is there hope?
