am I on to much lexapro?

Question:

::I get these rushes / dizzines (i can’t really explain more than that ::but it’s intense) in my head ever once in a while for a few seconds ::when doing things like lifting, jumping, standing up to fast etc… I ::have also been having bad dreams here and there. :: ::Has anyone else had a smilar experience with any of this? I dont even ::know what to do anymore, currently I am taking ::40mg’s of Lexapro 1x daily ::150mg’s of Wellbutrin XL 1x daily ::and 0.5 mg’s of Klonopin daily :: ::I guess I feel alright, i mean im making it by, but at this point I ::dont even know what feeling good feels like anymore and am kinda lost ::in this crazy anti-depressant american world. ::Is there anyone out there that can help? Dear Bass, Welcome to ASAPM! Did these head rushes start after you increased the lexapro? If so, it could very well be the lexapro causing it. I get the same sensation, especially if I bend over, then stand up. This sensation began after I started paxil. A pharmacy I used a few years ago would place a warning sticker on my paxil bottle about changing positions too quickly. What is happening is a "temporary" drop in blood pressure. It may help if you change positions more slowly. I always forget to do this though :) The bad dreams are a common side-effect of antidepressants. They may lessen with time. Are you okay about "just" feeling alright? You sure don`t sound like you are. Are you seeing a regular MD or a psych doctor for your meds? If you are seeing a regular MD, think about finding a psych doctor. They have more knowledge about anxiety disorders and the treatments for such, than a regular family doctor. If you are seeing a pdoc, it`s important you tell him about these side-effects and that you are "only" feeling alright. You shouldn`t have to settle for feeling just alright. You want to feel good and your doctor should be doing everything in his power to make this a reality. One more suggestion…….meds can be great for getting us back on our feet and to help us control our anxiety…..but sometimes they aren`t enough. It would be to your benefit to get into cognitive behavioral therapy. Take care and good luck!
