A better day

Question:

De-lurking for a moment to share my day… A better day today Though not much accomplished Perhaps this is a good thing A day for me a day to rest and focus A wise doctor young in years old in wisdom A joy to visit offering encouragement and hope Telling me Focus on me Focus on working my legs So that they will work for me. Focus on dealing with the pain in my mind so that one day perhaps, the drugs will no longer be required For the mind can heal if the desire is strong My animals so much comfort they give Knowing which are the good days And which are the bad Gathering around me on the bad to offer comfort and support and unconditional love Instinctive they are and I am blessed because of this. A better day today As the warmer weather begins The warmth of the sun helps to heal and relieve the pressure in legs and shoulders Increasing a sense of well-being and a feeling that the demons that haunt me will be vanquished and returned to whence from which they came. A daughter visiting A fruit of so long ago now mature with seedlings of her own Such a comfort to me inspiring me to fight to give into laughter and joy at the simple things of silly conversations and rememberances of events past. The joy of being together in unconditional love and a deepening friendship that comes from years of being together Today has been a better day And for this I thank the Goddess as I ready for sleep. I thank her for a day of peace for a day of lesser pain for the joy of my family and the comfort they give. I thank her for the lessening of the turmoil within this day and realize that today I am blessed. (c) vampyra April 2001 May peace be with you all this night. Vampyra (aka Carla) I have seen the truth and it makes absolutely no sense. ——————————————————————

I would very much like to write my doctor a poem telling him of my gratitude but I can’t write worth beans. He’s taken the time to listen when no one else, but you all of course:), when no one else has. I had to go to my GP after a year of tests that showed nothing new and say "Doc, I *can’t* live like this anymore, if you can’t help me then I give up. He referred me to the oncologist that’s doing my chemo now and the oncologist, while not having a bedside manner to speak of, took me seriously and didn’t refer me to a psychiatrist for depression. Who wouldn’t be depressed going through what many of us go through? How do you all let your doctors know that you are grateful? catherine "vampyra" <vamp…@full-moon.com> wrote in message

That’s so nice.  I am glad to hear of your day, it offers up hope for these coming days.  I have a friend who desperately needs encouragement and I hope this brightens her day as well. Mel "vampyra" <vamp…@full-moon.com> wrote in message
